Another power blackout!

Just days after the Electric Power Corporation raised its electricity costs; a blackout was experienced by hundreds of residents on parts of Upolu Monday evening. The power blackout lasted for almost two hours around time when most families were preparing for their usually family evening meals. EPC explained to Newsline yesterday that a wire on top of Mt Vaea broke last night causing the power cut. They said they are not sure how this problem was caused. “But we have fixed it,” a gentleman from EPC’s Vaitele branch said. Unexpected power blackout like the one on Monday is becoming a common experience for many people.
