Minister of Finance Niko Lee Hang (centre( with QBL Boss Galumalemana Ms. Faiesea Matafeo and key shareholders at the Monday handover

The sale of the Samoa Broadcasting Corporation is signed, sealed and was finally delivered on Monday to the new owners, Quality Broadcasting Limited.
The official handover was held back by a few weeks , to await the passage of legislation that needed the approval of Parliament to repeal the Samoa Broadcasting Corporation Act.
The Minister of Finance, Niko Lee Hang, signed away the remaining documents to officially close the deal.
Chief Executive Officer, Galuemalemana Faiesea Matafeo signed on behalf of the QBL shareholders, some of whom were present during the formalities.

Whether the sale will shut the door on the many public reactions that littered the negotations and the bidding from the start remains to be seen.
The former SBC and now QBL Chief Executive Office, Galumalemana was more relieved that everything is done and over with.
“Right now I don’t feel like jumping up and down, just relieved that it is all over,” Galumalemana says.
She is however seriouly mindful of the work that lies ahead for QBL.
“I see what we went through as a wave we succeeded in negotiating, ” Galumalemana sighed.
“But what lies ahead for us is a much bigger wave, and we have to survive that or go under.”
Visual transformation from the SBC to the QBL is expected to zoom into full blossom in a few weeks time.
“We have to put in place a lot of set changes where the QBL brand name replaces what we have with the SBC ...we should probably be finished by mid-August.
Galumalemana is promising a lot of new changes that will come into focus under the QBL banner once it is into full stride.
For now the former staff retained by QBL from SBC celebrated the landmark occasion with office lunch...fried chicken drum stick, stir fry, egg foo yong, rice and spring water.
The big celebratory party is scheduled for later.
