Stephen Tindall in Apia

The well known New Zealand business man, Stephen Tindall who founded the Warehouse retail chain in 1982 is currently in Apia to visit a number of projects in which the Women in Business Foundation is involved in. Stephen Tindall is in Apia in his capacity as the Chairman of his Tindall Foundation which has been active in investments in new business areas in NZ. The Warehouse chain has at least NZ$1 billion in annual sales and is a publicly listed company The Tindall Foundation was established to focus New Zealand on: Improving the performance of families and social services, and the downstream benefits that this will provide. Supporting community-based initiatives that create employment and encourage enterprise. Helping groups who want to care for their environment and preserve biodiversity. Strengthening the Third (Community) sector through skills and capacity building, education and research. Promoting generosity and giving to become part of the fabric of society by supporting community foundations and volunteering. Working with committed people who want to lead changes in selected needy communities.
