The popular President of the Mormon Church, Gordon B Hinckley who passed away yesterday at the age of 97 years old is being mourned by its church members world wide. President Hinckley is one of the few world Church leaders who have visited Samoa.President Hinckley first visited Samoa in 1983.

The funeral service of President Gordon B. Hinckley will be held this Saturday, 2 February 2008, in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, USA

The funeral proceedings will be broadcast via satellite in 69 languages to over 6,000 Church buildings globally. Brigham Young University’s BYU Television will also broadcast the funeral internationally.

The service will be brought to you by special LDS BYU channel in Samoa
