I must say this has been the most emotional day I have been through in years. Such a mix of joy and sorrow. Miracle is safe in LA.
But now that the hours of tears have slowed down a bit.. I have to say that I feel so much joy knowing that SHE HAS MADE IT!!!
From the day I first found the story of Miracle on Taufau's website.. in her amazing efforts to save Miracle.. I have felt an overwhelming presence of God pushing me to take up her cause for the "children of Samoa".
Anyone who has ever ventured to Samoa or who has had the privilege of being loved by a Samoan family.. knows well that the prayers of the people are sincere and constant.
When you have such an absolutely gorgeous island... with beaches that are blindingly beautiful, you often forget that in the midst of the beauty lies suffering. This can be found all over the world, but in my case I was blessed to hear the 'cries of the poor' for the children of Samoa.
There is no ONE person you can point too that has given Miracle a chance at life. There is only one God.. that loves her so much that he decided to visit us through the soul of this precious infant.. rightly named Miracle.
I have never in my life seen anyone bring about so much joy, love, unity, friendship, bridge-mending, hope, faith, laughter and tears.
I seed Miracle's life as a seed that was handed over to a few souls that God entrusted her too. Those who have been handed this seed had the opportunity to plant it... or throw it to the wind.
I thank almighty God for gifting me 'spiritual eyes'... so that I recognized his heart crying out for LOVE.
Nothing we can do can bring Miracle to the point of visual 'perfection' in the eyes of the world.. just as there is no way we can bring those we meet and who have had contact with Miracle to a place where they can see her as BEAUTIFUL, PRECIOUS, ANGELIC and a holy child of God.
The last few weeks has been like a sifting of souls. Those who see her with spiritual eyes are moved to tears. Those who look at her through the world's eyes see the mounting bills and consider what we have done as a foolish waste of money.
Yesterday, a wonderful, caring woman Susan Guidi offered Seffy a sonogram of her baby. I pushed and pushed for this so we would know for certain IF there was a problem with KFC (the nickname we gave baby because of thier love of Kentucky fried Chicken and because the initials were perfectly matched to KRISTIN, CAROL and FAY!!)
They took Seffy, Mikaele, Carol and the news crew in and left the every sulking KRISTIN outside.
Needless to say I kept my EAR pinned to the door. Buckets of tears were cried as I heard her say.. "We can rule out Cleft palate, spina bifida.. the heart looks wonderful as does the rest of the body."
Photo's of KFC.. NOW named "Peni-Joe-KFC-Mike" showed a perfectly beautiful baby boy.
On the way home Mikaele shared about the conversation he had with the doctors the day Miracle was born. He was told Seffy's uterus was torn and should be operated on. She would have a difficult time getting pregnant and if she did become pregnant .. that baby would be FAR WORSE than Miracle.
As GOD loves to have HIS WAY.. She was pregnant one month after Miracle's birth, her torn uterus is FINE and SO is Baby PJ.
As we all hugged and cried over the relief that PJ would not have problems. I received an email from Dr. Ragheb, chief of Neurosurgery. (Miracle's MD) He told me IS willing to come to Samoa to teach the surgeons who might be interested to do the surgery that saved Miracle's life.
So our little PRESHIE's seed has already bloomed. NOT only in the hearts of the thousands who have written, donated and befriended us but in the heart of her MD, Dr. Ragheb who will soon travel to Samoa to train MD's to do the surgery that saved Miracle's life.

I have been blessed too with the story of Miracle Baby. I thank God for His unconditional love, not only for us all, but especially for Miracle Baby. She was always in my prayers, everytime I see her picture on the Net, I put my hand on her and pray God for a miracle. God answer our prayers, for our strength and wisdom is limited, but with God, all things are possible. I pray for all those that love her, and spend their time in helping her out, especially members of the Thornwood Mission and the Doctors who treated and care for her. May the Blessing of the Almighty God be with you all, you are all Angels and Heroes to Baby Miracle. Thank you and May God Bless you a Hundred fold.

We need not pray for a miracle becuase God has shown thru baby His galuega mamana!!! what other miracle shall we pray for?. What is in question are the hearts and attitudes of the Samoan people. Has God shown Samoa and Samoans the conditions of our hearts by giving baby Miracle? The article is right, there are 2 types of people. The ones who see thru Gods eyes and the ones who see thru the worlds. There is a long way for baby to travel in life. My prayer is for Samoans to reignite the flame of "alofa e le faatuaoia" the love of Jesus knows no bounderies.

E sa'o lelei lava lou saonoaga, where people choose to see through their spiritual eyes, or through the worldly sight of judgement. And your not wrong when you say that there are some within the Samoan community who believe that it was a waste of money with the results that have come out of Miracles operation and medical care, but what is lilo i le manatu o tagata, is that she has life, Miracle has been blessed with life, this is a challenge to us, the samoan community wther we are able to accept and share and care with and for Miracle and her family, or are we going to be like the tagata Mauoa who waits for the Almighty to pass by his house and shuns him away three times????, a good thought for the day. But yes, I commend Miracle for battling it out, and for the love and support shown by the community towards our own little Miracle.

What a beautiful inspiring article on Baby Miracle and her family. Beauty comes from within and we are all God's children.Baby Miracle is a true blessing from our lord above whom God has entrusted to her loving family.Although there will be many rivers to cross and many crosses to bear for miracle and her family as long as they hold God in their hearts they will pull through and get by. All the best to Baby Miracle and her family and friends.

I read these comments and end up in tears. I know that God has opened a huge door for all of Samoa thru this little angel we call Preshie...
We are currently working on getting Dr. Ragheb and Dr. Wolfe.. to come to Samoa. During July we will seek out the prospective patients for this surgical mission.
Does anyone realize.... there are children in Samoa with open cleft palates... that have been living like this for years. There are children with anomolies that would break your heart..
But the LORD HEARS THE CRY OF THE POOR... blessed BE the LORD.
We will see the answer to those hundreds of prayers.. VERY SOON>
