Flash Floods Threat Again

February was a very wet month. March is also looking like the same.The heavy rains in the last two days are expected to continue today in Samoa threatening flash floods in the low lying and coastal areas The heavy rains have already created heavy flooding to areas bordering the main rivers running into the Apia area.Some roads in the east coast of Upolu were blocked by the flooding in the weekend. Flooding in American Samoa has also caused airline flight delays. The situation could get worse if there are heavy rains during 2pm - 6pm today as high tide is estimated to be around 4pm.
