Moving Farewell For Tasa in Samoa –with video clip

The passing away of the 16 year old from brain a tumour, touched the local community deeply, with the Head of State, His Higness Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi and Masiofo Filifilia, leading the large gathering of well over a thousand mourners. Euologies were presented by Tasa’s grandfather and Samoa’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, Asi Blakelock. The grieving father, Muliagatele Mark Paul, fought tears when his turn came to speak about his daughter, while surrounded by Tasa’s 5 other surviving daughters. Wednesday was Tasa’s 16th birthday anf her sisters and cousins sang happy birthday to her during the service. The Mass lasted close to 4 hours, before the body of Tasa was finally taken home to Vaoala where she now rests in peace.
