National Week of Prayers and Fasting

Cabinet has approved of the National Week of Prayers and Fasting to commence on Sunday 5th to the 10th October 2008. The Official Service will take place on Sunday 5th October 2008, at the Methodist Church, Matafele at 6:00pm. The service will be officiated by members of the National Council of Churches. Fasting will go from mid-night to noon of the following day, for five consecutive days until the closing Service to be held at the end of this very important week of prayers. The service to officially close the National Week of Prayers and Fasting will be held on Friday 10th October 2008, at the Methodist Church, Matafele at 10:00am. The Public and especially public servants are hereby advised to please participate and help in the enforcement of this important week for the whole country. If we know something, we know inadequately; but if we know, because it's God-given. It is a must for every human being to seek right relationship with God if we are to impact and empower the world and influence it, so that it (the world) becomes a much better place to live. Right relationship with God is affirmed in our honest, loving and humble dealings with our fellow human beings. Humble ourselves before the Lord and God will direct our ways. We can go forward in steadfast boldness and enjoy the company of another person next to us with truthfulness whoever they might be.
