AUTOGRAPHING : His Highness autograph’s copy for Rev. Vaigalo as others line up, last Saturday.

The English version of a book to promote religious and cultural harmony was launched yesterday at the official residence of the Head of State, His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi, at Vailele.
Pacific Indigenous Dialogue gives the English translation of the same book first launched in the Samoan language last year.
Faith, Peace, Reconciliation and Good Governance are highlighted in a collection of articles and conference that make up the book.
His Highness was one of the six people credited in the book for editing the contents.
The others were Tamasailau M. Suaalii, Betsan Martin, Manuka Henare, Jenny Plane Te Paa and Taimalieutu Kiwi Tamasese, were the others.
The new publication continues the first Pacific Regional Interreligious Colloquium on Indigenous Cultural And Religious concepts of Peace and Good Governance, held last December at the Catholic facilities at Tofamamao, Leauva’a.
Yesterday’s launching was attended by several political and religious notables. The Deputy Prime Minister Misa Telefoni and Cabinet colleagues, Faumuina Liuga, Toomata Alapati, Safuneituuga Neri and Tuu’u Anasi’i represented a strong Government presence.
Monsignor Ioane Vito and Principal of Malua Theological College, Rev. Otele Perelini, made up a noticeable turnout of the church sector.
Rev. Otele Perelini was also called upon to critique the new book for the invited quests that listed several local academics from the various higher institutions of learning in Samoa.
