Talofa lava,
I am very keen to know the main reason why( as led by Solomona) we strongly oppose such move by the government. I mean will it make any different given the fact that the govt has already allowed cars from NZ and Australia. I will love to hear and if so will totally support the opposition if it all means to promote the safety of our own people. God bless written by Moira Hastings, April 15, 2008
Talofa,
I am not sure by your comment above if you were asking Why were we marching? If this is so, i would like to direct you to this website to see all the submissions made to government regarding all our concerns. www.passkomiti.ws. This site should answer all your questions. Thank you written by popouli, April 15, 2008
Malo PASS le maemae i mea lelei. Warning to Samoa: Let your politicians pass the law, and then Samoa will be the dumping grounds for Japanese cars not needed anymore in new Zealand and Australia. NZ is now moving to sign free trade agreements with China so there cars will be from China. Byebye Japanese cars. Send them to Samoa.. kalofae ia Samoa o le a lafoai i ai kaavale leaga a Iapagi ia e faaoso mai i Giu Sila.

I believe The Government is doing more than the right thing about introducing the changes in Samoa of new laws about RHD. I strongly support The Government with their decision to change from LHD to RHD. The People of Samoa need to understand that they will benefit from better infrastructure, which will also create more employment opportunities for People in Samoa in the near future. I believe The Prime Minister in Samoa is doing what is best for People of Samoa and understands better about the changes which they are trying to introduce in Samoa. People of Samoa need to trust and support their Government and believe in people who represent Samoa! Rome was not build in one day! These changes will also bring better economical growth with great opportunities in Samoa and will prove to be the correct and wise decision made by The Prime Minister in Samoa today!

can you please 'Australian citizen' explain how the switch create economic growth?? Or do you mean to say economic slum???
I also dont see anything wise about the pm. If he was wise, most of the people would not be marching today and most would be still supporting him. Moreover, people would be well informed and accept the change. If what your saying is true, then here are the facts of what has been happening if you havent got an update in Aussie lala land. Wise is not informing the public of their planned desicion until PASS officials stirred up their noses. Wise is not holding public forums to seek the views of the people. Wise is failing to accept responsibilities of losses to the public is the switch cause damages. Wise is saying the number of people against RHD does not matter at all in a democratic country like us. Wise is threatening mps to support the change or face expulsion from the party. and more and more -edited- please someone tell me this is not a wise move at all written by wildhamo, April 21, 2008
WOW!! EVEN THIS CANT HAPPEN HERE IN AMERICAN SAMOA...WELL I JUST HOPE THE GOVERNMENT WILL MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION AND THEY SHOULD INCLUDE THE PEOPLES IDEAS OR WHAREVER IN THEIR DESICION MAKING...WELL LET US ALL TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THE BENFIT OF THE GOVERNMENT.
