Young Lauli'i men protest road switch

The Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has slammed protesters aganst the road switch policy for not protesting against drunk driving instead.
The pointed remark was directed at ‘layers and members of the business community’ in a farewell address for local sailors who will be taking up employment with overseas shipping lines.
“More than 90 per cent of the road accidents causing death or injury is from drunk driving,” PM Tuilaepa noted.
“ I believe this is something worth protesting against by our lawyers and members of the business community, not about something that they can only speculate about.”
The PM’s reaction to the most controversial issue in Samoa right now, gave added indication of the Government resolve to press ahead with the policy.
The bill to switch from driving on the right hand side to the left side of the road is expected to be tabled in Parliament next Monday when the House is called to session.

The Prime Minister gotta stop pointing finger to the villagers who protest against his stupid RHD or the LAND BILL...For one thing you are the one who is supposed to put this DUI(DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL)to the next Parliament session and put it into law..intead of changing the sides of the road....I Congratulate the two villages have the courage to say no to the governments...Fa'amalo atu ia Lauli'i ma Sili i SAvaii....Hope there will be more village will come out and say no

our pm knows how to throw red herrings. now, if it goes according to plan, pass people will chase after the red herring offered here.

im content with the fact that stui is the master conjurer of metaphorical allegories supporting the switch. i mean, where does he come up with this stuff? where does he pull them out of?

GC, you were wrong about WMDs, so far you're wrong about Baby Miracle (she ain't dead yet!), and given your terrible form thus far, you'll be wrong about RHDs.

Please don't predict Samoa will win the HK 7s this year. You'll jinx their chances.

Again the PM thinks he knows what's best. Does he ever listen to the voice of the people? They protest for RHD switch he says they should protest for drunk driving. Point is, they're protesting RHD switch that is the issue at hand. Heck why not throw a smoking ban and mutton flaps protest in there if we are all about saving lives. And tell me do we anticipate a $700m loss of income because of drunk driving? Do we anticipate crippling the economy and heightened uncertainty because of drunk driving? I say protesting the switch is very much validated don't you agree?

The PM is someone with low self esteem and didn't taught how to love..and he think everything he said is a joke....but its not..he need to step down...and let the Samoan people decide.
