Rugby Sevens IRB 2006 Player of the Year, Uale Mai with Alapasa Cordtz and friend shopping in Apia

Opeloge girls, Ele and Mele are joined by a friend as they hunt for Mother's Day Gift

Rugby Sevens IRB 2006 Player of the Year, Uale Mai and Champion weightlifter, Ele Opeloge, were amongst the star sportsmen and women, gift hunting for their respective mothers in Apia at the weekend.
Uale Mai was tagged around town by his team mate Alapasa Cordtz, also looking for a Mother’s Day present.
“I am quite busy with rugby right now,, but I will still do something special for my mother,” Uale Mai said when asked by Newsline. “If anyone deserves a present it is her.”
He added that he owed a lot of his rugby success to his mother and is looking to buy her something nice.
“It’s a surprise,” he said when asked about what he plans to buy.
He and his team mate Alapasa Cordtz were however seen checking out several gift hampers.
Champion weightlifter, Ele Opeloge and younger sister Ele, were hard on the chase for a special gift for mum.
The Opeloge ladies were keen to make their mum look good for church today.
“We have already bought her a puletasi, now we need to find her some earrings and a necklace to match it,” says Ele.
Mother Opeloge  is held dear by her girls for the special bond they share. The warm attachment in the family was revealed by Ele.
“We have been very blessed to have her.
