Hot heads invite nut heads. They gang up with punch heads and before long we all end up with fart heads, and all they do is drop stink bombs.

If that is the direction the road switch debate is headed, and it sure looks like it from the spate of published opinions so far, we may all end up wallowing in foul air, oozing out of bum opinions.
When that happens the 'powers that be' will simply slam the doors and fire off the exhaust pipes as they power off in their right hand drives.
Bye bye constructive debate. So long respect of opinion. Welcome insecurity. Come in anxiety and lack of confidence.
Cool heads invite brain heads. Properly bonded they turn into clear heads. An uncluttered brain is fully capable of digestible solutions.
Harmony and well being will eventually be restored, while insecurity, anxiety and lack of confidence are banished to where they rightfully belong…the hot heads and nut heads.
This is the scenario that forms the immediate to longterm backdrop on the right hand drive issue that the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Klaus Junior and his Executive Committee have to deal with.
The response by the CC President is reassuring. As noted already, cool heads begets brain heads……
Emotions should not be allowed to take over from well constructed arguments, presented in a professional manner to convince a position change by Government.
Klaus and Co. have done well to bottle all that agitation and aggravation by members into a list of well meaning resolutions.
These will all be raised with Government in a sit down meeting where they face each other across the conference table and go over it one by one.
Klaus has taken faith in the outcome of the selection of our new Head of State, where the Government showed they were ready to listen to the sway of public opinion, despite fears expressed in the lead up to the final selection.
In the end, everyone went home happy and peacefully restored once again.
Accusing the state of having a one party mentality or acting in a totalitarian or other forms of dictatorial manner of leadership is a typical hot head reaction. We all know where that is going to end up.
The road switch policy is not without its merits. These will have to be considered in relations to what the pros and cons of how they will benefit the country most.
Right now, the businesses are screaming murder because they are hemorrhaging financially.
Solutions will have to be found and quickly.
While this sector of the population fights for survival, they are not about to react kindly to some bum head opinion referring to them as "whingers". This is a classic case of fart heads dropping stink bombs that will make everyone wallow in foul air oozing out of stunted brain growth.
On the other side of the divide, those hot heads curving stinkball accusations of totalitarianism and dictatorship at Government should zip it tight. Do not let the stench of inadequate brain matter compromise a sensitive situation where the whole debate could descend into the rich versus the poor.
We do not want to go there. Please do not take us there.
Government should not play that card either.
The issue is already making inroads in that direction and one fears how that will come out in Parliament when debate rages in the House.
Politicians being who they are will play the sentiment cards to the hilt, to maximize their appeal to the electorates.

How will the old man in the village react if one of our hot shot politicians convinced them that the rich car dealers want to stop relatives in New Zealand or Australia from sending him a free car?
The onus is now on Klaus and Co. to get their act in place quickly and if possible make their position public to genuinely appeal their members case. In doing so, they may effectively douse cold water on hot headed opinions.
There is an underlying suspicion that the PM may have something up his sleeve and that the road switch policy is only a diversion.
The CC President did laugh it off as probably true, but only to keep the attention away from the dismal Rugby World Cup effort of the Manu Samoa.
PM Tuilaepa is after all the Chairman of the Rugby Union.
Lets hope it is!  Right now, he seems desperate enough to look towards his ‘fa’afafine’ crowd for the next Manu Samoa coach.
Lets hope he will concentrate his efforts over the next 5 years into molding the Manu Samoa back into a world conquering rugby minnow, and let the road switch policy settle.
The time frame will probably be long enough to allow local businesses to set up for a smooth and amicable slide to the right hand drive.
