If they had been disciplined from the start, they would never act in such a way, like what the holy book says "aoai le tama e tusa ai ma ona ala a oo ina matua e le toe tea ese ai lava" The parents and families are the ones responsible for these stupid unethical behaviours. Ua nao le faaviivii ma faalialia solo le lelei o aoga ae leai se mafutaga mafana ma apoapoaiga lelei e faia.

Most families these day are run by children and no more respect of elders..if this is the start of our step into the WTO incession and the promises of a better economy and better standard of living... Oh God help us...

The Government of Samoa should consider disciplining any student who's involved in such violence. There must be strict guidelines from now on that should prohibit any of these students from gaining government scholarships or any opportunity whatsoever to travel and study abroad and representing Samoa in any international sports (even if they're gifted athletes). The police should begin to arrest and keep records of these offenders so that they should never ever be able to leave the country. We keep strict rules in our village systems to maintain peace, law, and order. The same should go for keeping the peace in Apia especially between rival schools. This sort of nonsense has gone on for far too long it's time for the government to spell our some guidelines to control our young people, epecially in town. Have these rules posted as a warning to all students on their schools' bulletin boards and newsletters. In fact, the schools must publish these rules in their publications all year round. This way, the students have a sense of responsibility and accountability for their actions. Moreover, the schools must be held liable for property damage in and around town caused by their students if they don't strictly implement such guidelines.

I think it all comes down to those little ones being cheeky and show off....I suggest that these trouble makers should be thrown into the boxing ring with the well trained boxers of our country and see how tough they are....ua ova le tautalaiti ma le femitai....

It takes a village to raise a child! Please don't blame the parents for these children's misbehaving. Most of these students are staying with relatives in Apia so they can be closed to school. The poor parents are sweating in the sun more than 12hrs a day farming in Savaii, Aleipata and farther part of the islands to support their children's schooling. There is no parents in their right mind teaching their childrens to act in the way the riot students acted. The villages, churches, relatives, friends, schools, governments and even animals have influences in the lives of the children...but the parents always burden the blame. We should blame everyone for what had happened, because if we did our part as society...maybe this would have not had happened...
