Skim through the Harvard graduation list this year and you will come across one Samoan name. Moana Jean Tamasese graduating with a Master of Education majoring in International Education Policy. Quite an achievement for a girl who use to wear a Malifa Primary School uniform some twenty or so years ago. Moana is now Thailand working for seven weeks as a teacher before exploring her options. Her graduation was attended by her parents Moegagogo and Helene Tamasese last month in Boston. (Photo by the Tamasese Family.)

CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Tamasese. I'm very interested in your field of study so when you get a chance to swing by California, please come by for a visit. I have much to talk to you about education and the progress of our Samoan students in the United States. Again, congratulations! Soifua
