Its been a long time coming since a real natural, beautiful Samoan girl like that has won Miss Samoa. She's got my vote
written by Lene, May 12, 2008
Is she Taiena Faleafaga's daughter?

I'm sorry to say but i do not agree with this decision. I was at the pageant on the night and did not remember any of her garments. She did not stand out and everyone seated in my area did not agree. She's beautiful and all but...wrong choice judges. From Sherry to this?... But congratulations.

Amily was a beautiful, graceful and memorable contestant on Sat night and rightly deserved the title of Miss Samoa NZ 2008. Her garments were stunning and she defiinately outshone the other contestants with her poise and elegance. Great choice judges and all praises to the designer (her mother) and Amily!!! CONGRATULATION & BEST WISHES!!!

I was also at the pageant last Saturday and when all seven girls came out in the beginning I thought this girl Amily stood out and picked her as a winner from there. She was stunning, graceful and had that way about her. As the night progressed I got very dissappointed with whoever was at the back with her cos her costumes weren't all that and plus it looked like she was rattled and did not have a good nite performance-wise. Contestant number 4 then I thought could have taken home the crown cos she was beautiful and had poise and performed really well all night. In the end Amily took it which I thought was good still but they definitely need to change her sponsor and take the designing of costumes off her family cos they didn't do a good job. Anyway congrats to Amily and I hope the gains the confidence and better outfits for the big competition in Samoa cos if she doesn't then she won't do well at all in Samoa.

I did not attend the pagent on Saturday night and can only make my opinion based on the pics I have seen of the contestants online...well Amily was my choice fromt he first pics I saw...she is AS GORGEOUS as the previous Miss Samoa. Thank goodness the right girl was chosen on the night, had it been one of the other four girls (I'm not going say which ones lol)

Firstly Congratulations to all the girls who competed last Saturday night.
Amily was an exceptional contestant & based on her looks we could tell that she would be a favourite from the start. However, I did not feel that she has the best presentation, she seemed to always be in a rush, especially during the sarong category. Nevertheless, it seems her beauty outshone her faults. Which is something that a lot of people could argue against. I felt that there were a lot of other contestants had outstanding performances along with their outfits and I commend them all. I feel that Amily has great potential to win the Miss Samoa as well as the Miss South Pacific! If she has the right help and support. Overall - any of the girls could have easily taken the title. Congratulations to them all! Goodluck to Amily and the team who will be taking her to Samoa - we will all be rooting for you girl! Be sure to get all the advice you can from the previous Miss Samoa NZ, after being in three pageants, you'd think she'd know some tricks written by David, May 14, 2008
First of all congratulations to Amily and her family...
This years Miss Samoa pagent was one of the most entertaining pagents I have been to so far and i was very pleased that the judges picked who i believed had the full pakage. Along with her stunning, beautiful looks I saw that she was very gracful in all the categories which a Samoan lady is all about. Looking at all the girls she stood out not because off the garments she was wearing, but how she presented the garments which was a huge credit to her on the night. None the less, all of the contestants should be proud of themselves for puting up a great performance; money well spent lol. MISS SAMOA NZ= MISS SAMOA!!! written by pritchard_family, May 14, 2008
I totally agree with David. In the past years the garments have out shun the contestants themselves. Although not perfect on the night - her family who were also her sponsors is what the Samoan community is all about - working together and doing their best for their families, in this case, for Amily. We congratulate the Stewart Family for not opting for a commercial sponsorship and entering and preparing Amily for this pageant as a united front, as a family. There was no doubt in our mind, on the night, her beauty was in deed a true testimony of what the beautiful women of Samoa (Miss & Mrs) are all about. Congratulations Amily! Congratulations to the Stewart Family! Also a big congratulations to all the contestants.

beautiful winner, but lets get serious now, The Miss Samoa Pageant in Samoa is huge a step up.
Amily needs help with her preparations, her clothes and more importantly, needs help with understanding issues in samoa and a'o le interview a le keige. Whoever prepared her from the back needs to be removed because she did a pitiful job. late to stge, le auli a le pulekasi, u sese le ie o le puletasi. Frankly, that was the ugliest puletasi on stage-that was a mistake giving her that prize. but at the end of the day - they picked the best girl , she was graceful, well poised, calm-despite the screwups with her warbrobe. ia, kakou kapua'i ia ma kalosia ia e malo le kakou keige. ae please please sui le designer!!!!! written by Leeyah & Toriiah, May 18, 2008 Mahn she so has our vote mwahs... we attended the pagent and we were sitting in he front row and i must say she was awesome mwahs hope to see you win the Ms Samoa in Samoa this year YOU SO ROCK written by miss samoa rox, May 26, 2008
