Its the second day of the 4 day fishing tournament being held in Samoa by the Samoa International Game Fishing Association.The tournament kicked off with a reception at the Faleata Golf Course on Sunday before the competition started off from the Apia wharf yesterday morning
There are at least 29 boats involved in the tournament .There are fishermen from American Samoa , New Zealand and Australia who have joined up with the locals to enjoy a week of fishing and socialising.
The tournament has become a popular fishing event in the Pacific since it was started.Samoalvenews.com is one of the sponsors for the tournament
The programme for the tournament is as follows:

Tuesday 13th May 2008

  • 5.00 a.m -                   Buses depart hotels
  • 5.00 a.m - 7-30am      Breakfast at SIGFA headquarters - Sogi   
  • 5am – 5:00 p.m -           Fishing – Good Luck
  • 5:00 p.m -                   Weigh in (4:00pm to 5:00pm) Transport back to hotels is available from 3:30pm.  
  • 6:00 p.m - 9.00 p.m -   Happy hour & daily prize giving at SIGFA headquarters - Sogi  

Wednesday 14th May 2008

LADIES TOURNAMENT
Your Open Tournament takes a break while the Ladies compete
  • 5.00 a.m -                       Buses depart hotels
  • 5.00 a.m - 7-30am           Breakfast at SIGFA headquarters - Sogi  
  • 5.00 a.m – 5:00 p.m -     Fishing – Good Luck Ladies
  • 5:00 p.m -                       Weigh in (4:00pm to 5:00pm) Transport back to hotels is available from 3:30pm.  
  • 6:00 p.m - 9.00 p.m -        Happy hour & daily prize giving at SIGFA headquarters - Sogi
