Eight beautiful young ladies from across the South Pacific Region will be contesting in this years Miss South Pacific pageant.

This was confirmed by Sonja Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Tourism Authority.
This is also the first time that a contestant from the Torres Strait Islands has competed in the pageant.

The ladies arrived today and have a week of pre pageant activities lined up for them including the pre pageant interview on Friday where each of the girls will speak on different issues affecting Pacific Island Nations.

Representing Tonga is the lovely Miss Tesi Leila Toluta’u, she is 20 years of age and is a promotional dancer for the Polynesian Cultural Center at Laie Hawaii and an academic tutor at Kahuku High School.Her hobbies include playing volleyball, basketball, dancing and traveling.

Miss New Zealand International is Kyla Hei Hei, 21 years old and an Early Childhood Teacher.
She enjoys playing touch rugby, boxing fitness, scrap booking, spending time with her family and babysitting. 

From Niue is Miss Christina Inalita Cawlins, an 18 year old that is currently still a student.
She enjoys playing netball and basketball and learning about different cultures.

Wilhelmina Elizabeth Saelua is Miss American Samoa, she is 24 years old and is a Volunteer for the Center for Families of Individuals with Development Disabilities (CFIDD).
Her hobbies include looking after her grandmother, challenged uncle and assisting people with disabilities.

New comer Torres Strait Island is represented by the beautiful Miss Tania Michelle Wieclaw.
She is 23 years old and is a student and performing artist.
She enjoys singing, dancing, running, learning new things, being around the people she loves and anything aquatic or involving the ocean and most importantly, being happy.

Representing Samoa is Sherry Natalie Elekana, 18 years of age and a full time student at Aorere College, New Zealand.
She loves playing sports, hanging out with friends and family.

From Cook Islands is Joyce Lucia Regina Fortes, she is 23 years old and is a receptionist and reservations clerk for the Aquarius on the Ocean (resort) TEPAKI GROUP.
She enjoys reading, Cook Islands dancing, playing volleyball and netball.
Miss Hawaiian Islands is Luci Wilson.
