Efforts to send Baby Miracle to New Zealand for medical attention appears to be in disarray with a conflicting turn of events over the last few days.
Firstly, she was not on the planned PolyBlue flight on Monday as initially publicized. Secondly, there is now doubt about whether, the proper procedures were taken for her to see the doctors at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland. The appeal for Baby Miracle is an undertaking by the Survival Foundation. Organisation President Tuilaepa Mary Grey, is being hard pressed for explanations, as uncertainty settles over the fate of the 2 month old child.
Reports have come through that PolyBlue were unaware of any offer to fly the baby and her parents to New Zealand. The Minister of Health, went on SBC-TV, to express concern at how the Ministry is reflected in a poor light over the handling of the Baby Miracle case. Local doctors at first denied a family request for the child to be transferred under the Government&rsquos medical assistance programme for treatment in New Zealand. Doctors cited an established history of cases where babies born deformed have little chances of survival. Baby Miracle was given only a few days to live but she so far defied the odds, by surviving this long. A second attempt for Government approval was made when the Survival Foundation approached the Prime Minister, who referred the matter back to the Minister of Health. &lsquoWe&rsquore still waiting for a reply to our request, but that is not going to hold us back,&rdquo Tuilaepa said earlier. &ldquoWe&rsquove got the funds to send her to New Zealand and our organisation supporters there will put up Baby Miracle and her family while she is being attended to.&rdquo
It is unclear at this stage where the plans to send the child to New Zealand is at right now. but questions are strating to be asked about how the organisation of the whole trip was made.

The Baby Miracle hit the international headlines when NZ TV 3 had a special coverage and supporting the fund raising for treatment of Baby Miracle as shown in a youtube clip of NZ TV3

Yep, I know that puts me in the cruel and heartless prick corner but really, just because this is out in the public arena doesn't make them evil baby killers. It is an unfortunate misfire of the DNA copying process that we end up with sad stories like baby Miracle. We (humanity) currently don't have the tools to fix natures mistakes so we can try the best we can to give that unfortunate person a chance at a "normal life" - a definition thats both disingenuous and optimistically naive, and I'm afraid no amount of money/hopes and prayers will give a chance to this unfortunate person to experience a life they deserve.
good luck

Bollocks to GC

GC, the very fact that she has lived this long and proven the doctors wrong rubbishes your claim that the doctors at TTMH got it right. She is not clinically dead. She is alive. As long as she is alive, all efforts should be made to keep her alive. We humans might not have the tools to fix all of nature's mistakes, but we humans do have the tools to potentially correct this girl's deformities and keep her alive. As long as that potential exists, all that is needed is a little will power to exploit this potential. Will power that the doctors at TTMH evidently did not have. Luckily for this girl, her parents had a backbone. The doctors at TTMH are evidently missing theirs.

I just received word of baby miracle last night which brought about serious attention to my own ingrattitude and laxed commtiment to family life and children. The health of my children seems a novelty that wears thin after a few years as everything is taken for granted and I assume that they will always be in stern health and a deserved right to live until my death without considering what ifs... As for 'Little Baby Miracle' hold on sweetie, we are all gunning for you to pull through. Aid for the parents : our prayers as a community and phalanx will be offered in unison to strengthen our petition.

God bless,

Pater Noster qui es in caeli......
