Where’s Miracles Medical Records? – Tuilaepa PDF Print E-mail
Written by Astrid Sesega
Sunday, 11 November 2007
President of the Survival Foundation, Tuilaepa Mary Grey is asking the hospital to produce medical records of Baby Miracle, which she believes they do not have.
Since Starship Hospital in New Zealand advised the Minister of Health that the prognosis for Miracle was very poor and there was nothing to they could do to save her, Tuilaepa has said that Medical Staff at the Tupua Tamasese Meole Hospital did not send over the right evaluation of Miracles state.
She is accusing the hospital of not having the right technology to fully assess Miracle and also that the hospital did not keep medical records so Starship hospital cannot compare what Miracle was like the day she was born and the developments she has had since then.
“Where is the scan of her in the womb and when she was first born,” said Tuilaepa, “Show us.”
“We have never seen original medical history of Miracle, X-rays or Scans.
“We need to compare from the first day she was born until now, it is very important to see how much she has improved.”

She believes the information sent to New Zealand is misleading to the Starship Hospital doctors.
“They are evaluating her from poor equipment.”
“They should look into her medical history, they will se a big difference with the latest reports we have done.”
Tuilaepa believes there has been a big difference in Miracle over the past two months and the doctors in New Zealand cannot see this because there are no record to show them this just the state she is in now.
The family and Tuilaepa are now looking at going to New Zealand on their own without Government support.
“We are now waiting for the visas for the family and then they will be going to New Zealand.”
She would like to see Miracle tested and scanned in New Zealand so doctors can use state of the art technology to “properly” determine her prognosis.
She says even if they cannot operate on Miracle now, they at least want her to go to New Zealand to have a check up and have them regularly until she is well enough to have an operation.
Tuilaepa says she will accept the fate of Baby Miracle once she has had doctors in New Zealand or Australia tests her with their equipment.
