There has been no word yet from the Samoan delegation travelling to Bali for the most important conference on Climate Change since the signing of Kyoto Protocol.

The delegation of six which include the Minister of Environment Hon. Famuina Tiatia Liuga left Samoa two days before the start of the high level meeting.
Despite it being one of the most publicised meetings this year, there has been no news yet from Samoas delegation.
Sources say that the Minister presented a speech at the conference, but there has been no word yet from the Ministry on the content of his contribution.
Despite Samoa having a Climate Change section, there has yet to be a Press Release or Media Advisory about Samoas participation.
It is not known whether the delegation has returned from the meeting.
Meanwhile in Samoa, Prime Minister Hon. Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi is applauding Samoas efforts in curbing the impacts of climate change.

We dont have much of a carbon footprint on world climate.

Why was a climate change conference in Bali? It shouldve been in a country where most delegates wont have to fly over as flying puts more CO2 into the atmosphere. Or maybe they were out to see the effects of global warming on Bali's beaches.
Samoa silent from Bali meeting ??

This was suppose to be one of the major meetings and a chance for Samoa to be heard or at least make a contribution? We believe there was a Minister and an Associate Minister present as well as the CEO and other officials including Samoa Permanent Representative to the UN? We were told that the Minister presented a speech at the conference, but there has been no word from the Ministry on the content of his contribution or on whether he did deliver a speech or not?? Was he in Samoa for the HRPP party? And wasnt he suppose to deliver the speech at the same time? in Bali? Or maybe he presented it by "halogram" like Prince Charles so as to save the miles in order to do his bit for the environment?? Only BTL will know!

News was ..the honourable minister and his associate minister returned to Samoa before Samoa's speech was delivered. Reasons given were the HRPP birthday party and some golf tournament!. The CEO and other officials stayed on until end of meeting to deliver for Samoa.
