A new Non-Government Organization now registered as Simple Law Inc. was officially launched last night.

Like most NGO’s Simple Law Inc is a not for profit, non political public interest organization which is aimed at providing legal information free of charge to the community. Its purpose is to be able to take laws to the villages and or to the wider sectors of the community who may need that assistance free of charge. It is the aim of Simple Law Inc to educate the public o laws of Samoa as they affect them individually.

What Simple Law Inc wants is a Samoan society in which people are well informed of their human rights, the legal system and the laws governing their country.

Simple Law Inc’s task is therefore to provide leadership on legal issues by building partnerships with other stakeholders, having a constructive relationship with the government, be proactive to the community and of promoting community ownership of human rights.

As an effective NGO, Simple Law Inc is committed to promoting the principles on the rule of law, equity and fairness for all, trust and accountability, leadership and transparency and place emphasis on the value of the people of Samoa.
