 Samoa is on its way to reaching its goal of 50 gold medals predicted by Team Samoa
After a disappointing first day when Samoa could not get a gold from the 30 gold medals awarded, the second day was a lot better with weightlifters getting 6 gold medals. Samoa now needs to get another 40 gold over the next 9 days of competitions for the South Pacific games. Samoa's gold medal haul is expected from weightlifting, powerlifting and boxing.
