Vaenofoafia Tapasu Leung Wai is a relieved and proud man after the success of the Samoa 2007 South Pacific Games

Vaenofoafia Tapasu Leung Wai is a much more relaxed man in Samoa this week after months of detailed planning and meetings in the organisation of the South Pacific Games. He even took it upon himself to travel to any where in the Pacific if there was a likely threat by a country to withdraw. Vaenofoafia with his well documented travel to Guam to assure the athletes there that the facilities in Samoa were adequate to host the games

The loss by Vaenofoafia in the election of the South Pacific Games Council Presidency recently is attributed to the tenacity in which Vaenofoafia fought to ensure that Samoa's plans for the games were not going to be compromised by a some of the regional infighting which came up in the lead up to the games.
