Best Player for the U19 division Leone Elisa of Avele College

Eighteen year old Leone Elisa of Avele College was named the best player for the U19 division at this Years School Boys Rugby 7s tournament held at Apia Park last Friday.
The teenager who hopes for a future career in rugby looks up to none other than rugby legend, and Manu Samoa great dubbed the chiropractor Brian Lima.
“I admire the way he (Brian Lima) plays. He is my role model in the sport of rugby,” says Leone the Year 13 student at Avele College.
Leone Elisa says he was honored to be awarded this recognition of best player, and says it will just motivate him to do better.
Apart from Brian Lima, Leone is also a fan of current Manu Sevens greats such as Uale Mai and Lolo Lui.
He says rugby has always been one of his priorities and hopes to one day wear that blue jersey and represent Samoa in rugby.
He thanks all those that have supported him along the way especially his family and dear school Avele College.
“I know this just a step further to a long journey, but with commitment and concentration I believe anyone can go far.”
Leone says, now that this tournament is over, he will continue to train for other school tournament coming up.
“I have to remain fit for the next tournament so I will continue to train and watch what I eat. It’s all about commitment to doing something you love. For me, its rugby.”
