Ex-Manu Samoa Skipper A Super 14 Coach

A young Pat Lam leading the Manu Samoa in 1999 New Auckland Blues coach Pat Lam will warm the hearts of Manu Samoa fans who follow the New Zealand Super 14 rugby tournament. Pat Lam remains one of the heroes of the early Manu Samoa World Cup fame who went on to replace former skipper Papali’i Pita Fatialofa. The 39 year old will coach the Auckland Blues Super 14 team for the next three years. "I am very proud of the achievements of the Auckland provincial team and have relished my role as coach for the last four years," Lam said. "However, I have aspired to coach a team in the Super 14, ideally the Blues. That opportunity has arrived and I am delighted."
