Manu Samoa Team Finalised For Test Against All Blacks

The Manu Samoa team to play against the All Blacks has been named. To be captained by Filipo Levi, the Manu Samoa team which has been written off by the commentators in New Zealand includes a number of locally based players. The Manu Samoa 7s stars like Uale Mai, Alafoti Faosiliva, Alatasi Tupou, Jerry Meafou and Reupena Levasa are in the starting 15. The bold move to have a relatively inexperience Manu Samoa side to play against the All Blacks has been criticised by many commentators.However the Samoa Rugby Union has said that it is too good an opportunity to by pass a chance to have the up and coming Manu Samoa players developed for the 2011 World Cup The teams for the test tomorrow are: Samoa Alatasi Tupou, Reupena Levasa, Pale Toelupe, Jerry Meafou, Esera Lauina, Uale Mai, Notise Tauafao, George Stowers, Alafoti Faosiliva, Semo Sititi, Chad Slade, Filipo Levi (captain), Heroshi Tea, Loleni Tafunai, Simon Lemalu. Reserves: Lafoga Aoelua, Roysiu Tolufale, Maselino Paulino, Simaika Mikaele, Junior Poluleuligaga, Roger Warren, Romi Ropati. All Blacks Mils Muliaina, Richard Kahui, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Anthony Tuitavake, Dan Carter, Jimmy Cowan, Rodney So'oialo (captain), Adam Thomson, Jerome Kaino, Ali Williams, Anthony Boric, Greg Somerville, Andrew Hore, Tony Woodcock.
