The Samoan Under 20 rugby team ended their 2008 Junior World Rugby Championship earlier today with a convincing 30-10 win over Argentina in Cardiff Wales.

Samoa is the only Pacific Island team to be in the top 10 with its 7th ranking.






The final rankings by the IRB for the National Under 20 teams are:
1. New Zealand
2. England
3. South Africa
4. Wales
5. Australia
6. France
7. Samoa
8. Argentina
9. Ireland
10. Scotland
11. Italy
12. Canada
13. Tonga
14. Fiji
15. Japan
16. USA

great news boys.
I hope the govt have some financial rewards for these warriors who has put the name of the country up there with the best of the world.
If the sevens team got 2000 each for their great achievement, why not do the same for all well earned performances like these, doesnt hav to be 2000 as these are more than 20players involved but 1000 is a just a good enough gesture to help their families who are struggling with the rising cost of living these days.

By the way, there should be an official name for this team as it is a prestigious event, baby manu doesnt sound nice at all, Mighty Manus not bad or Maybe someones got a better name for our young warriors to keep the momentum going

Once again, thanks to all the bravehearts who played their hearts out.

I think this is a good time for our rugby union to look at a long term 2 keep this players for the future of our game in the country.its time 4 the union to wake up and make a good agreement with this players to keep them in the country to develop there talents 4 da manu b4 they get offer from overseas.The game is professionals now and its time to look for a long term of our game.Good luck for the future guys,i hope some of you guys are in the Manu in the 2011 world cup.God bless ya
