Luxury Boat That Will Open New Sights in Samoa For Tourists To Enjoy

A planned cruise around the scenic island spots Samoa has to offer holiday travellers, moves a few steps closer this month when Government takes delivery of a luxury boat that will kick start the new service.
The boat is to be handed over officially to the Minister of Works and also Shipping Corporation, Tuisugaletaua Sofara Aveau in a couple of weeks time.
The Minister and selected Government officials will be travelling to Australia to  officially receive the boat as scheduled on the 19th of February.
“The boat will be outfitted for the trip to Samoa before it leaves,” Tuisugaletaua revealed.
The new service will be handled by a special division set up under the Shipping Corporation, to run the operation.
Once it is up and running, the service will allow for tourists to book for trips around the islands, with stop overs at selected destinations along the set route.
One of the main stop overs will be at scenic Aleipata where the new domestic wharf is being upgraded to include direct travel to neighbouring American Samoa.
“If needed the boat will also be made available for quick trips to Savaii to help out should the need arise.”
The proposed domestic cruise service is the first of its kind for Samoa to venture into.
