Internet, telephone and cellphone scams are everywhere in the world. Most originate from the UK and Africa with the culprits mainly UK-based Africans or Africans in Africa. Quite a few of these men and women have been caused and exposed by a very popular American investigative TV programme by NBC News called "To catch a predator" which not only investigates and exposes predators and pedophiles but also scammers and identity thieves. This is a programme worth showing on Samoan televisions for both educational and awareness purposes but also our people will get to see who these culprits and criminal minds are. We will never know when one or two of these pedophiles, internet predators or scammers end up doing business in Samoa. Meanhwile our people should take heed of the Central Bank's advice "Just ignore and delete the messages".
