All the best to the new coach of the manu samoa!!! i know hell do good... and to all the critics out there... dont you think he deserves a least the benefit of the doubt that he will succeed. This is why many of us samoans dont make it anywhere... theres always people critising before others have had the chance to show what they can offer...
Be kind, be supportive and be a true samoan!!!
The manu will be great!!!
Win or lose theyre still our boys in blue!!!

I was focusing to Titimaea Tafua as a new coach for our famous national team Manu Samoa, because the whole world were shaking and amazing to the performance of our national seven a side last year. So now, we are in a new processing of diffrent kind of philosophies and technologies. The picking of head coach should not from experience or long service but it should be by using of 'Brain,Knowledge,Understanding, and Ideas'. So it does'nt matter who is but someone who has that capacities. Believe me, maybe ten more years we will be on top of the world. If we get that, don't be pride but, Viia Le Atua. God bless Manu Samoa and our people. :) - Apolo T. Mauai

It is nobody's job to judge..But lets not jump into conlcusion yet we haven't started...All i know is that Samoa overcomes trials because we have the heart..So lets not point fingers who's good and who's bad, who's fit and who doesn't because time will tell.I'm a Manu fan all the way, and i support anything because i have the heart and i beleive that the heart leads us to victory..Lets just hope for the best and stand behind our new coach so when he falls at least we push him forward ;D ;D ;D ;D..Ia ua laia kou misa soo :-* :-* :-* :-* ;D - Manu Fan

I have no doubt that Palamo will do his best, he's a great guy and has done a lot of goodness for our small nation and it's rugby programme. Let's all hope that he will put forth the effort on his new assignment and hope for the best in the future of our BOYS in BLUE. - Tou Magalogo

Hows that for Palamo's selection for Manu Samoa Coach, unless credibilities overcome qualities, ha! ha! ha!

Tuilaepa said four qualities of Tuala won him the job.

“He has demonstrated record of leadership and management in and outside rugby. This is a correlation of his role as CEO and Secretary General at SASNOC including his strog involvement in the South Pacific Games.

“Coached the U19s team that won the U19 Rugby World Cup B pool and was promoted to the A pool. Niko timed the Team Performance to top results.

“He achieved success as Head Coach of the Samoa Sevens team.

“His coaching of the U19s elite team gives him a very good position in the identification of up and coming talent to the Manu Samoa,” Tuilaepa said.

Olefee you got it wrong mate...Marist has nothing to do with Lepale's appointment....Fats was an inspirational captain but he hasn't established himself as a coach yet...do you know what happened when he went and coached King Country some years ago? well it was a mess to say the least...so why not give Lepale the chance to have a go...am not a fan of Lepale either but I will reserve my judgment until 2011 when it really matters...so leave Marist out of it....
Cheers.... - Mataio

Give him time

Just to comment on some remarks about our new manu samoa coach. I think Palamo was the best of all the applicants. His involvment with the young players under 19 is a an indication that he has a vision for future local players. lets not judge the book by its cover. lets give him time and he will prove himself. It is not a big deal because the coach performance is assessed every two years. Tapuai ia lea alo o le atunuu ma ave i ai le tatou faatuatuaga. - Toma Sale

The Team is for Samoa not for a Club

I feel so down by the new coach for the Manu that they just selected. I have nothing against Palamo but not enough credibility and less qualify for the job. We just came from a very disappointed World Cup. We are looking for a RESCUER not a favor. Please Su'a and Stui; this is not a Marist Team. What is wrong with Fats? He was a solid leader for the 1991 World Cup. He is more qualify and has more credibility than Niko. Someone like Fats is more suitable instead of a clubmate. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but I believe in what I believe. - Olefee
